Abstract:
In this 60 min presentation Dr. Gurm will describe the 7 key hallmarks of carcinogenesis, along with the genetics and molecular biology of cancer.
Learning Objectives:
In this lecture, participants will learn common terms used to describe cancer biology and behavior including tumor heterogeneity, oncogenes, TSGs, oncogenic events, epigenetic events and understand the complex and multifaceted characteristics of cancer biology with a journey through each of the key hallmarks of cancer. By the end of the presentation, the participant should have a solid grasp of the hallmarks of cancer and how this can serve as a valuable template in guiding therapeutic recommendations.
