Naturopathic Oncology, What’s Next? with Paul Anderson, NMD

$25.00

Naturopathic Oncology is a growing area of the larger “integrative oncology” world. As a profession we have been involved in innovation and the growth of a broader image of oncology care in North America. We have seen growth in our numbers over a relatively short time and are at a place where as a profession we have the opportunity to move forward and advance our own practice and impact on oncology as a whole. The goal of this presentation is to look at that potential impact on oncology as a whole and where we may wish to focus our efforts. Should this be in becoming more “integrated” in conventional oncology? Should it be in clinical areas such as being the experts on molecular oncology targets using natural therapies? Should it be becoming seen as the experts in co-treatment or secondary prevention strategies? All are good goals, but what as a profession can we reasonably focus on in the coming years? This presentation will look at possible targets for our efforts in moving forward in our areas of excellence in the world of oncology.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe the roots of Naturopathic Oncology

  2. Discuss potential directions for practice and research

  3. Discuss viable next steps
