peaker Bio: Marie Winters is a graduate of Bastyr University, the premiere naturopathic medical program in the United States, known for its cutting-edge research and rigorous curriculum. She was the first naturopathic doctor to establish a free-standing practice in Philadelphia and has experience working in both private practice and hospital-based settings. Given this experience, she is familiar with hospital practices and protocols, and can safely and effectively support patients before and after hospital admissions and specific medical procedures. In addition to serving patients in her private practice, Dr. Winters is committed to the growth and development of the field of naturopathic medicine. As such she serves as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Western States and is the past President of the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She was instrumental in the successful legislative effort to regulate naturopathic medicine in Pennsylvania. Dr. Winters has presented naturopathic and integrative oncology research at national conferences including the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians annual conference, the Society for Integrative Oncology’s annual conference, and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians’ annual conference
