How did you get into Naturopathic Oncology?
I am drawn to the complexity of cancer biology and the ever-expanding knowledge in integrative oncology. Confronting our mortality leads to deep, authentic conversations with patients. What really matters to me? Who do I want to spend my time with? I enjoy the psychospiritual part of the job, too.
What do you do during your downtime and/or what do you do for fun?
I have three kids, and their social life is my social life. I carry backpacks at cheer competitions, hydrate teenagers at baseball games, and practice for spelling tests every Thursday night. When adulting, I enjoy travel, cocktails, good food, and great friends.
What quote sums up your daily practice with patients or guides your practice?
Listen. Hang on. Dispense wisdom. Be present, listen some more. Give hugs.
