How did you get into Naturopathic Oncology?
When I was working as a Research Associate at Women’s College Hospital’s Osteoporosis Research Program, I was involved in a study investigating the impact of phytoestrogens on bone health. The concept of healing with plants was a revelation and led me to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine. As I matured in my career, a position at CTCA allowed me to satisfy my goal of working collaboratively in an integrative medical setting. I find it deeply gratifying to partner with patients as they go through often profound transformational experiences. I also appreciate the ability to work on the frontlines in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
What do you do during your downtime and/or what do you do for fun?
I love to practice Bikram Yoga, explore new recipes, and spend time in nature.
