Lucas Tims, ND, FABNO

How did you get into Naturopathic Oncology?

I was always interested in cancer and have a fair share of it in my family. My grandmother was a Three-time breast cancer survivor. However, I would say the pivotal experience was in my 2nd year of medical school, my girlfriend at the time (now my wife) was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Walking alongside her and supporting her through her healing journey strengthened both our relationship as well as my passion for working with cancer patients.

What do you do during your downtime and/or what do you do for fun?

Away from work, you’ll find me in the kitchen, the gym or on a golf course.

What is your favorite quote when it comes to your practice?

To heal from cancer you not only have to remove the weeds, you have to fix the soil as well
