Pacific Integrative Medicine LLC is the primary care practice of Dr. Kevin Gibson, ND, LAc, MS.
Dr. Gibson (Kevin to his colleagues), opened his Honolulu practice in 2002, after practicing in Colorado since 1998.
Kevin is moving to another state and wishes to hand over his well-established practice to a ND who enjoys a varied patient population with a wide range of health concerns. Variety truly is the spice of life… along with curiosity and problem solving.
Patient care at Pacific Integrative Medicine has evolved over the years towards a focus on integrative cancer care. Kevin has been an active member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians since its inception and has been working with cancer patients since school clinic days. As a result, he has developed a number of respected relationships with local oncologists who will refer patients interested in integrative care.
Patients seen at the clinic do vary greatly and conditions treated are any and all. Kevin’s environmental health/science, sports medicine and acupuncture experience have served as a sound basis for patient referrals as well.
As with any well established medical practice, patient referrals are the best driver of a successful and joyful practice. We all like to help people who are attracted to our approach and welcome interest from their family and friends.
Kevin has had an active practice on King St. in an easily accessible location for 23 years. The current office has a reasonable monthly rent in a simple and functional space. As a result, affordable and equitable care can be offered.
The major health care provider, HMSA does allow ND’s to become primary care participating providers, though Kevin has remained a “non-participating” provider which allows for direct patient payment at time of service, while still allowing patients to recover 70% coverage for office visits.
The state of Hawaii has a very favorable scope of practice law which includes prescriptive authority, minor surgery and intravenous administration.
